4 Signs That You're Not That Into Him (Anymore). Written by: Akua Hinds

It seemed like love at first sight when you first met him.  If anyone had told you that there would come a time when your feelings for him might fade away, you would have laughed in their faces  However, as the relationship has progressed, you might be questioning whether or not the relationship is even worth the effort anymore.  Here are four signs that you just aren’t that into him anymore:

1.     His excuses aren’t cutting it anymore.  You used to forgive him for “forgetting” your birthday, the special event you asked him to escort you to, and other things that are important to you.  But you have been feeling more and more impatient with his reasons for not supporting you in your time of need.

2.     You feel at peace when he hasn’t called you in a few days.  Instead of freaking out that your honey hasn’t been reaching out to you, you appreciate the time away from him to focus on your feelings and assess whether or not you even want to stay with him.

3.     You start fantasizing about dating someone else.  When you start smiling at the thought of finding a new mate, it’s time to recognize that your current relationship is less than desirable.  It might be time to end things and find someone new to share your love and life with.

4.     It doesn’t bother you to picture your boyfriend dating someone else.  If you find yourself encouraging your partner to date other people, or, you suggest having an open relationship, then you clearly don’t feel that he’s the right person for you.  When you feel that someone is your soul-mate, you will not want to share him.

Breaking up is hard to do, but it is better to be apart than to feel trapped in an unsatisfying relationship.  Don’t ignore the red flags that your interest in your partner is waning.  Instead of avoiding the issue, ask to have a respectful chat so that you can both decide how to either mutually improve, or end your union in an amiable and healthy way.
